Declan - isms

Lately Declan has really taken off with his words. It seems like overnight he transitioned from one word to complete sentences. My favorite recently was when we visited my brother-in-law and his family. They just got an adorable new puppy and Dex was just the right size for her to follow around and try to lick and nibble. He tolerated it for awhile, then ran up to Chase and exclaimed, "Chase, hep me. Doggy eat me."

He also loves to tell me, "Gone" whenever I ask where something is. "Declan, where's your cup?" A shrug, then "gone". However, usually he'll go find it and bring it to me with a proud, "Found it!" He also cracks us up when the other kids are being loud, whether it's playing or arguing. He'll yell out "Quiet!"

This should all be old news to me now, since I've gone through it 5 times before. But it's so fun at this age to watch how quickly they grow and grasp new things. And their excitement about each new day, each new thing, is so wonderful. And contagious. He makes me smile a hundred times a day.

I am blessed.
