Family Christmas Photos 2007

Since all my cards are now mailed out, I can post our family pictures. These are the ones not picked:

This is the one we finally went with. Still not perfect, but neither is our family. =) And Aiden's silly face represents his ebullient personality.

The reason for the season

My good friend Michelle hosted a birthday party for Jesus last Sunday. What a great idea!



First the kids sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus and decorated and ate Rice Krispie treats.

Then they made birthday cards and told Jesus what they wanted to give him this year:

Michelle had another great craft for them to work on. They made their own nativity scene:

The dads helped out, then retired to the game room:

Thanks Michelle for a wonderful afternoon celebrating the birth of our Saviour!

Walk Through Bethlehem

After the party, we went to a nearby church for a "Walk Through Bethlehem". They had tents set up in the parking lot. It was cold waiting but as soon as we got inside they were passing out cups of hot chocolate.

It was really incredible. There were live animals and people were dressed in costume, including Roman gladiators, weavers, shepherds and much more. They would come up to talk and completely stay in character.
